Looking at all of the various meanings for the word Gimel, we can vivdly see how Yeshua portrays these in the following scriptures:
- Isaiah 53:4 - He was the burden carrier:
yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and
afflicted."
- John 3:14 and 2 Corinthians 5:21- He was lifted up on the cross for our sins:

Let's take a look at two very interesting Hebrew names in the Bible. When we study their Hebrew word picture meanings of the individual letters in the names, amazing prophetic details are revealed.
- Gog
גוג (Gimel, Vav, Gimel)
The meanings for the letters are: ג - pride ו - hook
When we put these two meanings together, this is the result:
גוג – The heart of the 'pride of prides' is hooked
This reveals the prophetic role of the person with the name 'Gog' as
revealed in Ezekiel 38:3-4:
" ...Thus says the LORD God: 'Behold, I am against you, O
Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. I will turn
you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out,
with all your army, horses and horsemen..."
2. Golgotha
Golgotha is the hill upon which Yeshua was crucified, and it is also called 'the Place of a Skull' in John 19:17. In Hebrew, it is spelled like this:
גלגלת (Gimel, Lamed, Gimel, Lamed, Tav)
....which is pronounced as 'Gulgoleth'.
The meanings for the letters are:
ג - lift up
ל - shepherd
ת - cross
When we put these three meanings together, this is the result:
גלגלת – Lift up the Shepherd, lift up the Shepherd
(on the cross)
Thus, the prophetic role of the place-name 'GULGOLETH' is therefore revealed in the Hebrew letters that add to form what happened on that very spot - THE SHEPHERD of all shepherds died on the cross for the sins of all!
